Chris Noth Fired From ‘The Equalizer’ Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Chris Noth has been fired from his role in The Equalizer following allegations of sexual assault made against him.

In a statement shared by Deadline, CBS confirmed that Noth had been let go from its upcoming drama.

The 67-year-old actor will reportedly appear in one of the already filmed episodes and will continue to feature in those which have already aired.

Chris Noth will no longer film additional episodes of The Equalizer, effective immediately,” read the statement issued by Universal Television and CBS.

The decision comes in the wake of allegations made by two women in a report by The Hollywood Reporter. Noth has since released a statement calling the accusations “categorically false”.

Voicing their support for the alleged victims are Noth’s Sex and the City co-stars, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davies. In a joint statement shared on all three actresses social media accounts, the trio said they were “deeply saddened to hear the allegations”.
