Disney Reveals ‘Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett’ Release Date

Disney has shared the first poster for its new Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett, along with an official release date.

The poster, posted on Disney’s Twitter page, shows the titular character of Boba Fett, fully suited and seated on a throne-like chair, with a gun ready in one hand.

“His story is only the beginning,” reads the caption. “The Book of @BobaFett, an all-new Original Series, starts streaming December 29 on @DisneyPlus.

Boba Fett is played by Temuera Morrison, with Ming-Na Wen portraying Fennec Shand. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez will produce the series.

Fans got their first peek at the new series spinoff during the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian (Spoiler). A post-credit scene saw Boba and Fennec storm into the old palace of Jabba the Hutt and seemingly take over, before the words, “The Book of Boba Fett… Coming December 2021″, flashed on-screen.

Further cast and plot details for the series are so far unknown.

The Book of Boba Fett arrives on Disney+ on 29 December.
