Singer Ed Sheeran will be joining The Voice USA judging panel as a ‘mega mentor’ for season 21 of the show.
According to NBC Universal, the British songwriter will be making an appearance on the show as a mega mentor for its upcoming twenty-first season.
One of Sheeran’s main tasks will be helping mentor contestants who’ve made it through the battle rounds with their respective coaches.
“Utilizing his vast experience in songwriting, musical production and performing to provide multi-faceted mentorship, Sheeran will guide the artists in their vocal and technical choices and tailor the artists’ songs to their strengths to bolster each performance,” NBC said in a statement.
Some of the previous artists, who have made an appearance on the US show as a mega mentor, include Taylor Swift, Usher and James Taylor.
Sheeran is currently preparing to release his fourth album, =, which is due out later this month.
