Emma Watson wore an eco-conscious outfit to meet her “idol” Al Gore at a climate change event.
The actress wore a custom-made green floral two-piece by London-based designer Emilia Wickstead.
The outfit was was made from leftover fabrics from an earlier collection.
On her Instagram account, Watson said the fabrics included “62 per cent recycled yarn that was woven and printed in Italy”.
Emma interviewed the former Vice President, who she finds “so compelling”. His documentary An Inconvenient Truth helped to create awareness of environmental issues.
“It was really surreal to meet and interview one of my idols,” she added in a post. “He has continued to do the work he set out to do despite humiliation, loss and defeat.”
“Thankfully climate change action is becoming mainstream and the tides have turned in his direction and now we are all swimming with him.”
