‘Eternals’ Becomes Lowest Scoring Marvel Film On Rotten Tomatoes

Eternals has become the worst-rated film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film currently has a rating of 53% on Rotten Tomatoes far lower than Iron Man 2 (72%), which is considered by many fans to be the weakest entry in the franchise.

Thor: The Dark World was the previous record holder of the lowest rated Marvel film on the aggregate site with a rating of 66%.

Although some critics, who attended early screenings, praised Eternals ambition and scope, others were left disappointed.

The IndieWire’s David Ehrlich gave the film a rating of 58/100 and labelled it as “just misfit spandex people fighting bad CG for 3 hours.”

NME magazine, on the other hand, gave the film a more favourable review saying: “Eternals is frequently stunning without being caked in production gloss.”

Eternals is in cinemas on Friday, November 5.
