Former Jackass star Bam Margera was allegedly taken to a rehab facility by police on Sunday (26 September).
According to a report by TMZ, police responded to a call at Don CeSar Hotel in St. Pete Beach. Officers allegedly found Margera on scene and discovered a court order was in place, requiring him to check in to rehab. Police then assisted in transporting Margera to a rehab facility in Flordia and no charges were pressed.
This is not the first instance the 42-year-old has struggled with addiction. Earlier this year Margera was removed from the fourth Jackass film for reportedly breaching a clause in his contract which required him to remain sober.
The daredevil is currently suing Paramount Pictures, Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze and Johnny Knoxville for the loss of work on the project.
A restraining order was also filed by Tremaine earlier this year, alleging that Margera was harassing and threatening his family in the wake of his dismissal.
“Look at your children and grab your pocketbook and write a check, if you are greedy and cheap, look at your children again.” Read one of the disturbing messages to Tremaine, in a report by TMZ.
More recently, Bam Margera’s wife Nicole Boyd has filed for custody of their three-year-old son, Phoenix Wolf. Though Boyd did not request a divorce from her husband – suggesting that reconciliation is possible – she is requesting that Margera only visits their child with supervision.
