George Clooney and Brad Pitt are to star in a new thriller film written, directed, and produced by Jon Watts.
The film will reportedly follow two lone-wolf ‘fixers’ who are hired to perform the same job.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, news of the A-listers casting has triggered a bidding war for the project. Some of Hollywood’s biggest studios are reportedly interested in acquiring the film, including Sony, Lionsgate, Netflix, and Apple.
Clooney and Pitt are both pegged to produce the film through their respective production companies: Smokehouse Pictures and Plan B Entertainment.
Further details on the project, including a title, are being kept under wraps.
Watts has made a name for himself as director of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s last three Spiderman films: Spiderman: Homecoming, Spiderman: Far From Home and Spiderman: No Way Home.
The 40-year-old filmmaker has also enjoyed success with his previous thriller projects Clown and Cop Car.
