HBO Releases First Official Teaser For ‘House Of The Dragon’

HBO has shared the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming Game of Thrones spinoff, House Of The Dragon.

Set almost 200 years before the events of the original series, House Of The Dragon depicts the beginning of the end for the reigning Targaryen dynasty. The show is based on the book Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin.

The show recently added an additional seven castmates to its roster with Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Graham McTavish, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson, and Gavin Spokes.

They join an already impressive ensemble including Matt Smith, Paddy Considine, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Milly Alcock, Emily Carey, Eva Best, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Sonoya Mizuno, and Fabien Frankel.

In the trailer, fans are treated to snippets from the new show, including a powerful commentary from Matt Smith’s character, Prince Daemon Targaryen.

“Gods, kings, fire, and blood,” he says. “Dreams didn’t make us kings – dragons did.”

At the HBO Max launch event in Europe, it was confirmed the 10-episode series would debut in 2022.
