Lena Dunham married musician Luis Welber in Soho, London over the weekend.
Luis proposed to Lena after she was ill in hospital, the couple told Vogue.
“‘I just I don’t ever want you to go through that on your own again.’ And you said, ‘Oh, I want to marry you someday.’ And I said, ‘Why don’t we make that someday, soon day?’”
Felber proposed with an family heirloom: Incan Peruvian ring from the early 1700s that belonged to his grandmother.
They were engaged for a month before tying the knot in a 60’s inspired impromptu wedding.
The wedding also featured certain Jewish elements, including a “chuppah, a traditional Jewish wedding altar” which was “one of a handful of spiritual gestures Dunham, whose mother is Jewish, and Felber, whose father is Jewish, wanted to include.”
The couple also shared a tender intimate moment underneath taallit, which belonged to their rabbi.
Lena wore total of three custom dresses by Christopher Kane.
Her look for the ceremony was a white long-sleeved A-line mini-dress complete with white tights and a bow-topped veil.
Her second look was a chic long satin gown with a high neck and split sleeves.

For the third and final dress, Dunham told Vogue that she cried during the final fitting.
“He did a painting of the portrait of us on our wedding invitation with these sequinned eyes and lips, and stuck it to the front of this beautiful A-line white silk dress.”
Taylor Swift and Tommy Dorfman attended the event as bridesmaids and also wore Christopher Kane gowns.
Lena and Luis honeymooned in Somerset.
