Jhené Aiko has taken to her Instagram page to announce the re-release of a song she first released in 2012.
The 33-year old singer has made the announcement by posting a series of pictures with the title of the release in the caption:
“wrap me up out now ☃️❄️💙link in bio 🎁🎄✨”
Aiko first released the song on SoundCloud.
The original version of the song featured James Fauntleroy, but the 2021 version removes his vocals and scraps the 2012 vibe.
Rolling Stone writes that this version “more closely resembles the harmonious, dream-like approach Aiko has taken to her music in recent years — a stark contrast from the artist still figuring it out a decade ago.”
