Lewis Hamilton Receives Knighthood

Sir Lewis Hamilton has received a knighthood days after Abu Dhabi F1.

The 36-year-old attended Windsor Castle to receive the honour from Prince Charles.

He was knighted “in recognition of a glittering career”, tweet Sky Sports News.

He was also awarded “the resulting title in the 2021 New Year Honours list after matching Michael Schumacher with his seventh Formula 1 World Championship,” report Formula 1.

Hamilton failed to secure his eighth title in Abu Dhabi as Max Verstappen won the title for the first time.

His mother, Carmen, attended the castle with Lewis.

He has become the fourth Formula 1 driver in history to be knighted.
