Megan Thee Stallion Criticises Media Response To Tory Lanez Trial

Megan Thee Stallion has criticised the media’s coverage of the Tory Lanez trail regarding her alleged shooting last year.

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, allegedly shot Megan in the foot in July 2020 after she had left a party at Kylie Jenner’s house.

According to TMZ, at a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, LAPD detective Ryan Stogner said that Lanez was intoxicated at the time of the incident and what happened was a dispute between artists.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, Megan expressed her disappointment at the media’s coverage of the trial saying: “Don’t blogs/ journalists have to have accurate/ credible sources before going with a story ?”

“Like I’ve been SHOT and the focus of some [of] these headlines are dismissing that I was attacked with a WEPON [sic] WHILE I WAS UNARMED.”

“Trying to paint it as a cat fight between friends why do I have to relive this with everyone on the internet every day? And watch y’all gaslight me,” she added.

Don’t blogs/ journalists have to have accurate/ credible sources before going with a story ? Or is it just like a new I got paid to post this or I heard out from my home girl type policy these days.
