Rachel Weisz To Star In ‘Seance On A Wet Afternoon’

Rachel Weisz will star in the upcoming adaptation of Seance on a Wet Afternoon.

Deadline reports that Tomas Alfredson is also attached to direct the project. He replaces Harry Bradbeer, who was formerly due to direct.

The film is based on Mark McShane’s 1961 novel by the same name. The story follows a self-proclaimed psychic who convinces her husband to kidnap a child so she can help the police solve the crime. Her true plan threatens to consume them both.

Seance on a Wet Afternoon is a Legendary production, with Robyn Slovo, Emma Forbes, Michael Attenborough producing.

Rachel Weisz has appeared in Hollywood blockbusters including The Mummy, Constantine, and The Lovely Bones. She won an Academy Award in 2005 for her performance in The Constant Gardener and was Oscar-nominated for her role in The Favourite.
