Ray Fisher Backs Ruby Rose In Spat With Warner Bros.

Ray Fisher has shown his support for former Batwoman star, Ruby Rose, after she spoke out about the alleged toxic work environment.

Fisher played the DC superhero Cyborg in Batman V Superman and Justice League. He has long accused director Joss Whedon of “abusive” behaviour, and labelled DC Films executive Walter Hamada and producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg, “enablers”.

Fisher branded the treatment of cast and crew on Justice League abusive and toxic. He refused to work on any further DC projects that involved Hamada, effectively removing himself from The Flash.

Now, Fisher has shared his support for former Batwoman star, Ruby Rose. The 35-year-old unexpectedly departed the CW series in 2020, but now alleges that her exit was not voluntary.

In a series of posts to their Instagram story, Rose accused a list of people of toxic and inappropriate behaviour on set.

Among those named were Warner Bros TV president Peter Roth, producers Caroline Dries, Sarah Schechter, and Greg Berlanti, as well as her co-star Dougray Scott. You can read more about Ruby’s claims here.

Sharing his support, Fisher praised Rose for having the courage to speak out. “Good on Ruby Rose,” he wrote. “Naming isn’t easy, but it must be done.”

Good on Ruby Rose.

Naming names isn’t easy, but it must be done.

Warner Bros TV later issued an official statement refuting Rose’s allegations and accusing them of improper workplace behaviour.

Specific people were named, and WB’s defense is to generalize Ruby Rose’s account by making it seem like they’re taking wild swings at everyone in every department? 🤦🏾‍♂️

Now I’m no expert on hit pieces, but I know a WB whistleblower special when I read it.https://t.co/04uxGMN2OX https://t.co/ThMaK0QMeh

The latest allegations come just days after Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot said she was “shocked” at how director Joss Whedon spoke to her on the Justice League set.
