Seth Rogen And Elle Fanning In Talks To Join ‘Chippendales’

Seth Rogen and Elle Fanning are reportedly in talks to join the cast of Chippendales.

Deadline reports that the pair are close to joining the project, which stars Dev Patel. The film, from New Regency, Bold Films and Permut Productions, will tell the story of the male exotic dancing company run by Steve Banerjee (Patel).

After growing bored pumping gas at his self-owned Mobil station, the ambitious Banerjee purchased a failing L.A. club called Destiny II. He would go on to transform it into an up-and-coming venue that would generate millions from exotic dancing. Joining in the success were Paul Snider and his girlfriend Dorothy Stratten.

Helming the production is I, Tonya and Cruella director, Craig Gillespie. The 54-year-old filmmaker penned the first versions of the script alongside Isaac Adamson, with Lauren Blum and Rebecca Angelo currently working on re-writes.

Producing the film are David Permut, David Litvak, Gary Michael Walters, Michael Litvak, and Svetlana Metkina.

Rogen is touted to play choreographer Nick De Noia in the project. He is famous for his work on numerous comedy films, including the likes of Pineapple Express, This Is the End, and The Interview. Currently, he is working on Steven Spielberg’s latest picture The Fablemans, and will provide the voice of Dokey Kong in the upcoming animated Mario film.

Fanning is reportedly in talks to portray Stratten. She rose to prominence after featuring in 2011’s Super 8, and has since enjoyed starring roles in the likes of Maleficent, The Neon Demon, and The Great.
