‘Sex And The City’ Star Willie Garson Has Died At 57

Willie Garson, best known for his role as Stanford Blatch in Sex And The City, has sadly passed away at the age of 57. 

Garson played a close friend and confidante of Sarah Jessica Parker‘s Carrie Bradshaw in the show. He was also recently working on the spin-off series And Just Like That – which he continued to work on whilst sick.

Tributes from fellow co-stars and many other actors have flooded social media.

Kim Cattrall took to Twitter to say that his death is a “terrible loss to the SATC family.”

Cynthia Nixon said she was “deeply, deeply sad” to have lost such “a consummate professional”.

“We all loved him and adored working with him,” she writes alongside a picture of the two.  “He was endlessly funny on-screen and in real life.”

Garson had a remarkable career in the acting world starring in a number of television series and films – including Groundhog Day, Freaky Friday, and There’s Something About Mary.

Nathen Garson, Willie‘s son, shared an emotional Instagram post detailing how “proud” his father made him.

“I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much,” he said. “I will always love you, but I think it’s time for you to go on an adventure of your own.”

Willie‘s cause of his death has not been disclosed.
