Taylor Swift Breaks Spotify Streaming Records With Re-Release Of ‘Red’

November 12 marked a day in history for global superstar Taylor Swift.

Her re-release of 2012 album Red (Taylor’s Version) inspired a shattering of streaming records on music platform Spotify.

The re-recording of the original tracks, along with nine songs ‘from the vault’, racked up a staggering 90.8 million global streams in the first 24 hours of its release.

Those numbers make it the most streamed album by a female artist in a single day, beating Swift’s 2020 album Folklore by over ten million streams.

Among the ‘vault’ tracks was the 10-minute version of All Too Well, which was accompanied by a short film featuring Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien that has since amassed over 30 million YouTube views.

And Swift broke yet another Spotify record with the help of Red to become the most-streamed female artist in a single-day with over 122.9 million listens according to Billboard.
