Will Poulter has joined the cast of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.
According to Deadline, Poulter is set to play the role of Adam Warlock. The character’s entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe was first teased in a Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 post-credit scene.
The now veteran comic book director James Gunn has since confirmed the news on Twitter.

“As you guys know I often strike down false rumors, so… um. Welcome to the Guardians family, Will Poulter,” wrote Gunn. “He’s an amazing actor and a wonderful guy. See you in a couple of weeks. #AdamWarlock #GotGVol3.”
Poulter thanked Gunn in the comments: “Thank you, James. It’s a genuine honour to play this role and to work with you. I’m very excited to get to work.”
Further details on the new instalment are being kept under wraps, though production is expected to begin in November.
Poulter is best known for his work on features such as We’re The Millers, The Maze Runner, The Revenant and Midsommar.
